Aulé ships with built-in material libraries for Plasterers, Dry-Liners, and Plumbers. You can add custom trades and materials in Settings — the app adapts to any trade that works with measured surfaces.
LiDAR gives the best measurement accuracy, but Aulé also works with standard ARKit on any iPhone with an A12 chip or later. You can always enter measurements manually if you prefer.
No. All your data — jobs, invoices, bank details, measurements — is stored locally on your device. Bank details are encrypted using the iOS Keychain. Nothing is uploaded to any server unless you explicitly share a PDF.
Set your CIS status in your profile — Gross (0%), Standard (20%), or Unregistered (30%). Aulé automatically applies the correct deduction to every invoice and includes the CIS compliance statement on your PDFs. It also reminds you to file Nil Returns when you've had no CIS activity in a month.
Every material in Aulé has an embodied carbon value from the ICE V4.0 database (kgCO₂e per unit). As you log materials on a job, the app automatically calculates your total carbon footprint. This data is increasingly required for tenders and ESG reporting on larger developments.

Aulé tracks your quarterly turnover against the £50k MTD threshold and alerts you when you're approaching or exceeding it. While it doesn't submit directly to HMRC, it gives you the quarterly breakdowns you need for your accountant or MTD-compatible software.
